Team TI Planning

Text Box: Communication

We have established group e-mails for each event (see instructions).  Each event captain and the TI Team Coordinator are the owners of those lists. The Team Coordinator is the owner for the higher level group lists.

The lists are open so anyone inside or out of TI can subscribe themselves and only list members may send e-mail. If we start generating too much e-mail we'll restrict the ability to send to just the captains and coordinators.  All the lists use the format rcc-xxx@list.ti.com. Each event list will have the e-mail addresses of people interested in that event.

In addition we'll have the following 3 groups:
rcc-caps (only the captains of every event)
rcc-all (all event groups listed above - the bulk mail list!)
rcc-spirit (a list of individuals who expressed interest in helping out or participating)

Text Box: Process

The TI Team Coordinator(s) will handle the communication with the team captains and represent TI at the RCC planning meetings.

Captains of events should:
1. Study the rules of their event (available on the
RCC web).
2. Study the scores/times from past years (available on the
RCC quickscores web).
3. Establish some target scores/times/requirements to qualify people for your team.
4. Communicate the information and plans with the interested individuals.
5. Schedule practices / tryouts.
6. Select your team.
7. Communicate and get everyone to the events on time.

Timed / Individual Skill events will be easier to select than the team events. Captains of sports such as volleyball, basketball, etc. will have to have a few general practices and look for skills as well as commitment and good sportsmanship.
